You think your bad putts come from a bad stroke. Most of the time, your stroke is fine.
What changes is where the ball meets the face. A millimetre higher, it skids. A millimetre lower, it bounces. Your flat-faced putter has zero tolerance for that.
A curved face gives you that tolerance. Wherever you strike, the ball contacts just above the equator. That's where forward roll starts. Less skid. Consistent distance. Closer misses.

Loft Compensation
The loft on a flat face is fixed. Your hands aren't. So it never launches the same way. The curved face adapts. The loft varies from bottom to top, compensating for every hand position.
Reduced Skid Phase
A flat face creates backspin and skid before the ball starts rolling. The curved face contacts just above the equator, getting the ball into a true forward roll faster.
